Good to know

01

Getting there and around. Dali sits about 17-20 km south of central Nicosia. Within the Nicosia public transport network, buses 3 and 38 serve the Dali area, and regional route 52 connects Alampra, Pera Chorio and Dali to nearby villages. There is no single direct city bus from central Nicosia; most journeys involve a transfer.Source ↗

02

Good to know. Modern Dali grew up around the ancient city of Idalion, a copper-trading centre dating back to the 3rd millennium BC and one of the ten ancient city-kingdoms of Cyprus; its archaeological site and small museum still sit on the edge of the village.Source ↗

03

Nearby. Dali borders Pera Chorio-Nisou to the west, Potamia, Agios Sozomenos, Geri and Latsia to the north, Lourotzina and Lympia to the east, and Alampra to the south, all within Nicosia district.Source ↗

04

Parking. At the Ancient Idalion Archaeological Site, visitors park at the adjacent Ancient Idalion Museum and walk to the ruins; the site itself has no separate car park and the path is not wheelchair accessible beyond the museum grounds.Source ↗

Signature events. The Pancyprian Milk Festival (Παγκύπριο Φεστιβάλ Γάλακτος) is Dali's best known annual event, held each summer (June or early July) at the Chalkanora Idalion stadium with a major concert and free tastings of local dairy products like anari, yogurt and halloumi.Source ↗
