Paphos District

Getting there and around. Paphos connects to Limassol via the A6 motorway, a 66 km four-lane highway that takes roughly 40-50 minutes to drive. Intercity Buses runs a scheduled coach route between Limassol and Paphos departing from the Karavella bus station in Paphos old town, and local Pafos Buses (operated by OSYPA) cover the city, suburbs, villages, the airport, and Polis-Latchi. Nearby. Paphos district borders Limassol district to the east and Nicosia district to the northeast, and its coastal city of Paphos sits about 50 km west of Limassol along the Mediterranean coast.Source ↗

Parking. Paphos runs a zoned paid-parking system in the town centre: rates range from about 1 euro per 30 minutes in the busiest traditional-seat zones up to 1 euro per 2-3 hours in less central zones, payable via the Pafos Smart Parking app or SMS. Some areas, including the municipal lot near Kato Paphos harbour and the Sea Front Archaeological Park, are free, but spaces fill quickly in the summer high season.Source ↗

Signature events. The Pafos Aphrodite Festival brings an open-air opera production to the square in front of Paphos Castle at the end of August or early September each year, running since 1999. It is one of Cyprus's best-known cultural events, with the medieval castle itself used as part of the stage set.
