The terms of using Cyprus Now

Cyprus Now is an independent, free website that gathers public events from across Cyprus into one place. We are a guide to what is on. We are not a venue, a promoter, a ticket seller, or a government body, and we do not organise, run, or take payment for the events we list.

Almost everything you see is announced somewhere public first, and we link back to that source on every listing so you can go straight to it. There is more about who we are and how the catalogue is built on our about page.

Because most of our events come from other people's websites, we cannot promise that every detail is right or up to date. A date can move, a price can change, a venue can switch, or an event can be cancelled after we picked it up.

Always check the source before you rely on a listing. Before you travel to an event, buy a ticket, or make plans around one, confirm the details with the organiser or the official source we link to. The listing is a signpost, not a guarantee.

We show a price only when the source gives us one, and we do not guess. If something is wrong or should not be here, email hello@cyprusnow.app and we will fix or remove it. The event information itself belongs to the organisers and sources it comes from, not to us.

We do not sell tickets. When a listing has a way to buy, the link takes you to whoever is actually selling, which is a separate company with its own terms and its own prices. Your purchase is between you and them.

We are not responsible for that transaction, for the ticket seller, or for the event itself going ahead as advertised. If a show is cancelled or a ticket is refunded, that is handled by the seller and the organiser, not by us.

You do not need an account to use Cyprus Now, but you can make one to save events, submit your own, or manage a newsletter. If you do:

• Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give us details that are true, and keep them current if they change.
• Anything you submit, such as an event, should be accurate, yours to share, and not unlawful, offensive, or spam. We read submitted events before they appear, and we can decline or take down anything that does not belong here.
• You can close your account at any time. Ask us at hello@cyprusnow.app and we will sort it.

We may suspend or remove an account that is used to abuse the site, other people, or the systems that run it.

Our newsletter is opt-in: you get it only because you asked for it, with the city, categories, and frequency you chose. You can stop at any time by emailing hello@cyprusnow.app, and we will remove you. We only ever email you what you signed up for.

Cyprus Now is free to read, and being listed is free. We pay for the site by selling advertising to local businesses, directly. Ads are clearly marked as ads, and paying for one does not buy a better spot in the ordinary listings or get an event listed we would not have listed anyway.

If you advertise with us, the specifics of your placement are agreed with you directly. The advertising page is the starting point, and payments are handled by Stripe, never by us holding your card details.

Cyprus Now is here for people finding things to do. Please do not:

• scrape, copy, or republish the site wholesale, or pass our listings off as your own,
• try to break, overload, or get around the security of the site,
• or use it to do anything unlawful or to harm other people.

The Cyprus Now name, look, and the way we present listings are ours. Linking to us and sharing individual events is welcome and encouraged. Taking the catalogue is not.

We offer Cyprus Now as it is, and as it happens to be available. We work to keep it accurate and online, but we cannot promise it will never be down, never have a bug, or always be complete. We may change, add to, or withdraw parts of the site as it grows.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on a listing, from attending an event, from a purchase made through a link, or from the site being unavailable. None of this takes away rights you have as a consumer under Cyprus and EU law, which we do not try to exclude.

As the site grows, these terms may change. When they do, we update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will do our best to say so clearly rather than quietly swap the wording.

Cyprus Now is run from Cyprus, so these terms are governed by Cypriot law, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction over any dispute. If any single clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
