Getting there and around. Strovolos sits about 3 km from central Nicosia and is served by Cyprus Public Transport city bus routes, with Strovolos Station acting as a key interchange for routes 1, 2, 19, 22, 24, 27 and 46 connecting to Nicosia city centre, Lakatamia and Nicosia Mall. Signature events. The Nicosia Book Fest is held annually in October at Acropolis Park in Strovolos, hosted and supported by the municipality (the 2024 edition ran October 5-6, and the 11th edition is set for October 9-11, 2026). The municipality also runs the Old Strovolos Christmas Alley street festival in the historic Archbishop Kyprianos Street area each December, with choirs and street performances.
