Getting there and around. Latsia sits on the southeast edge of Nicosia and is well served by Cyprus Public Transport buses on the Nicosia-Latsia corridor, departing from Giannou Kranidioti Avenue with services roughly every 20 minutes on weekdays. The bus journey from central Nicosia takes about 39 minutes, with local lines 3 and 36 also stopping near the Latsia Health Centre.Source ↗

Good to know. Latsia was a tiny hamlet of just 17 people in 1881, but grew sharply after the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus when refuge housing was built there for displaced families, turning it into one of Nicosia's largest suburbs with over 16,000 residents by the 2011 census.Source ↗

Nearby. Latsia borders Strovolos to the north, Aglantzia to the northeast, and Lakatamia to the northwest, with Dali and Geri (now merged into the same municipality) on its southern and eastern sides. It sits close to major Nicosia landmarks including the new Nicosia General Hospital, GSP Stadium and the Mall of Cyprus.Source ↗

Through the year. Summer brings the municipality's outdoor cinema screenings through June and July, alongside the Festival of Laughter in May, while the cooler months carry civic and school-linked commemorations such as the March 25th parade and Clean Monday festivities in February.
