Limassol's German-style beer festival takes over the Molos seafront each September, with Bavarian bands, litre steins, street food and a fairground mood along the coast. It is one of the city's biggest end-of-summer nights out.

Limassol Wine Festival
Late summer into early autumn · Municipal Gardens, Limassol
Cyprus's oldest wine celebration fills the Limassol Municipal Gardens for around ten evenings, pouring local wines and zivania alongside folk dancing, food stalls and live music. Entry has traditionally included a festival cup to keep.

Limassol Carnival
February into March, the ten days before Lent · Across Limassol
The island's biggest carnival runs for about ten days before Lent, from the opening King Carnival float to the Grand Parade down Makariou Avenue, with masked balls, children's parades and street parties in between.
