The person behind Cyprus Now
I'm George.
I made this.
Cyprus Now is not a company. It is one person in Limassol who kept finding out about the good events after they happened, and decided the island deserved better.

2,000+

20+

90

Why I built it
Finding out what is on in Cyprus used to mean a dozen scattered websites, half of them stale, plus whatever posters you happened to walk past. I wanted one honest place that answers “what's on?” properly. It did not exist, so I built it.
Every day the site reads more than twenty public sources, merges the duplicates, maps the venues, and puts the island's events in one place. It is free, there is no account to make, and it stays that way. No venue owns it, and nobody can pay their way into the listings.
I designed it, engineered it, and grew it alone: the data pipeline, the maps, the search, the design system, the SEO that brings in the readers. Most portfolios describe the work. This one is the work. You are standing in it right now.
What I do
Design
Product and web design that feels effortless to use. Interfaces, brands, whole systems. University-trained, and formerly UI design on Cardano, the blockchain.
Build
Real engineering, not page builders. This site is a live data platform: daily ingestion, dedup, maps, search, caching. I ship the whole thing myself.
Grow
Design and code are worth little if nobody arrives. Cyprus Now went from zero to thousands of weekly readers in 90 days, on search alone.
Work with me
I take on a small number of projects for businesses that want this standard: a website, a product, a system that works beautifully and gets found. If I am not the right person for yours, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
Write to me about what you are trying to build. I read everything myself, and I reply in writing within a business day. No calls until we both want one.
There is more of my work at efesop.com.
Cyprus Now is free and carries exactly one ad: mine, the one that brought you here. Working with me is what keeps the site free for everyone else.
Just here for the events? Back to what's on.
