Good to know

01

Getting there and around. Kapparis sits on the coast road between Paralimni and Protaras in the Famagusta district. OSEA operates local routes through the village: Route 301 (Paralimni circle line) runs via Kappari Avenue and Protara Avenue, and Route 510/11 links Paralimni Hospital to Paralimni via Kapparis. There is no dedicated fast intercity line into the village itself; most visitors arrive by car.Source ↗

02

Good to know. Kapparis still has air raid shelters dating from the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus, a visible trace of the island's modern history inside what is now a low-key seaside village.Source ↗

03

Nearby. Kapparis lies directly between Paralimni and Protaras in the Famagusta district, functioning as a quieter link village along that coast road rather than a standalone town.Source ↗

04

Parking. Kapparis Beach has an on-site car park reached by a short track off the main road, with beach access on foot from the parking area. It is described as the furthest and most isolated of the local beaches, so spaces are less contested than at busier Protaras or Ayia Napa beaches nearby.Source ↗

Through the year. Kapparis Beach runs lifeguard cover and first aid only from April to October, and its sunbeds, umbrellas, water sports operators, and beachside kiosks are seasonal, geared to the summer tourist months. Outside that window the village is far quieter, with fewer amenities open.Source ↗
