Pernera

Getting there and around. Pernera sits on the east coast between Protaras and Ayia Napa, about 55 km (45-55 minutes drive) from Larnaca International Airport. Cyprus Bus route 101/102 runs the Protaras-Ayia Napa loop through Pernera every 15-20 minutes in summer, with fares around EUR 1.50-2.50 per ride.Source ↗

Nearby. Pernera is the smaller, quieter coastal stretch immediately north of Protaras, with Ayia Triada bordering it to the north and Paralimni acting as the inland service town for supermarkets, pharmacies and banks a short drive away.Source ↗

Parking. Parking is free almost everywhere in Pernera and neighbouring Protaras, with additional space in a municipal car park within a short walk of the coast. This is unusual for a Cyprus resort area and makes driving in for the day straightforward.Source ↗

Signature events. The Protaras Moonwalk, a free open-air music walk with over 130 musicians on 30 stages, starts each September at the chapel of Saint Nicholas in Pernera and runs 5 km along the coast to Fig Tree Bay in Protaras. Pernera also hosts its own Pernera Street Music Festival each October along Pernera Street and the Pernera square, organised by the Paralimni-Deryneia Municipality.
