The Markideio is the municipal theatre of Paphos, a modern hall seating around 410 that opened in 2018 on the site of the older Markideio it replaced. It is named after Sotirakis Markidis, a figure in the city's cultural life. It stages theatre, including touring Greek productions and comedies, along with concerts and other events, and serves as the town's main indoor stage.
