This chapel in Amiantos, the former asbestos-mining settlement high in the Troodos range, is dedicated to Agia Paraskevi, whose name is literally rendered "Holy Friday" in English (Paraskevi meaning Friday in Greek, not the liturgical Good Friday). It appears in the regular round of services kept by the Holy Metropolis of Limassol for its Amiantos parish.
