About Latsi Harbour
Latchi Harbour, on the northwest coast near Polis Chrysochous, was once a small fishing shelter used to export carobs. It has since been expanded and deepened into a marina, though it keeps much of its earlier character: fishing boats share the water with yachts and tour boats, and former carob warehouses along the quay are now restaurants and cafes. Its name comes from the Greek word 'lakki', meaning water hole or well. Boats leave from here for trips along the nearby Akamas coastline.
