About Agia Kyriaki
Agia Kyriaki is a single-nave church in Polis Chrysochous, built in 1742 according to two inscribed stone plaques on its west wall. A pointed barrel vault runs the length of the nave, braced outside by four buttresses a side, with reused marble worked into the southern doorway and the altar's supporting capital. It may stand on an earlier temple's foundations, hence its second name, Chrysopolitissa. Icons painted here in 1758 hang today in Arsinoe's bishopric museum.
