About Kionia Drys Nature Trail

This Forestry Department trail runs from a dirt road just past the Kionia picnic site, on the Nicosia-Larnaca district boundary, up toward the Kionia peak and then down to a paved road near Machairas Monastery at the site called Drys. It covers about 3.5km and takes roughly 1.5 hours, rated a moderate walk. The main feature is a wide panoramic view east, north and west from Kionia over the surrounding pine forest of the Machairas range.
