About Kato Pyrgos Harbour
Kato Pyrgos Harbour serves the village of Kato Pyrgos, the only Greek Cypriot settlement on Morphou Bay still under the control of the Republic of Cyprus. Hemmed in by the Troodos foothills, the Turkish-controlled exclave of Kokkina and the Green Line, the village was isolated and hard to reach until a crossing point opened nearby in 2010. The harbour is a working fishing shelter rather than a marina, and the village sees most of its visitors during the August holiday season.
