About Church of Panayia Horteni
Panagia Horteni is a single-nave domed church about 1.5 kilometres north of Pelathousa village, overlooking the Mediterranean. Built from unworked stone with internal dimensions of roughly 9 by 4.3 metres, it is decorated with frescoes and is thought to date from the 14th or 15th century. It is believed to have served the Chorteni settlement that once stood on the site.
