Water parks in Cyprus

A water park is the one big day out a mixed-age group, a family reunion and a friends' week can all agree on. Cyprus has three, one on each of the main holiday coasts: WaterWorld in Ayia Napa, Fasouri Watermania in Limassol and Aphrodite Waterpark in Paphos. Here is what each one is, where it sits and what is on nearby.

WaterWorld Waterpark Ayia Napa

Ayia Napa, south-east coast

WaterWorld Waterpark Ayia Napa

The biggest of the three and one of the largest water parks in Europe, WaterWorld is themed head to toe on Ancient Greece: more than 30 slides and rides, each named for a Greek myth, wrapped around one of Europe's largest wave pools. Nine restaurants, a lazy river and lifeguarded children's pools make it the classic full-day out for a mixed-age group in Ayia Napa.

Fasouri Watermania Waterpark

Fasouri, west of Limassol

Fasouri Watermania Waterpark

Fasouri Watermania sits among the citrus groves west of Limassol, near Kolossi, and is the south coast's main water park. Pools, a manmade river and a full spread of body and tube slides run through the summer season, with shaded lawns and food stalls, so it works as a day out for families and groups based anywhere along the Limassol coast.

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark

Paphos seafront

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark runs right along the Poseidonos Avenue seafront, minutes from the harbour and the hotel strip. A wave pool, a lazy river, a multi-lane racer and a cluster of slides sit alongside a shallow play area for younger children, and its central location makes it the easiest big water-park day to reach in Paphos without a car.
