On 4 and 5 September 2026, the Square of the Medieval Castle of Pafos will once again be transformed into one of the Mediterranean’s most spectacular open-air opera venues, hosting the 24th Pafos Aphrodite Festival.

The carob harvest season starts in September and locals cannot but celebrate this special product, also known as the “Black Gold of Cyprus”. Carob trees have been growing on the island since the Neolithic era (7000-3000BC).
