Getting there and around. Livadia sits on the northern edge of Larnaca town, about 15 metres above sea level, right next to the Nicosia-Larnaca and Rizoelia-Paralimni motorways. Local buses run direct from Larnaca Station: route 418 (Larnaca Station - Livadia - Kellia - Troulloi) and the night service route 442 cover the quarter.Source ↗

Good to know. Livadia's traditional basket weaving craft, still practiced by local artisans using willow and other plant fibres, has been recognised on Cyprus's UNESCO National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.Source ↗

Nearby. Livadia borders Oroklini to the northeast, Kellia to the north, the municipality of Aradippou to the west, and the sea to the southeast, sitting just north of central Larnaca.Source ↗

Signature events. The Basket Weaving and Folk Culture Festival is held annually in Livadia, usually in late July or early August, at Agias Paraskevis square starting around 7:30pm. It features live basket-weaving demonstrations, traditional food and liqueur tastings, and folk dance and music performances, and is free to attend.Source ↗
