About Linos
The Linos Museum occupies a restored old house in Kakopetria's historic quarter, on the street that carries its name. Spread across four rooms on two floors, it centres on a traditional wine-press hall with a large fermentation tank and the mechanical lever once worked by donkeys and people to crush grapes, alongside smaller sections on bread and olive-oil production. Stelios Alkiviadis began restoring the building in 2000; the Pan-Cypriot Architectural Heritage Organization later completed a full renovation with EU funding.
