Η πρώτη κεφαλαίο του Vagabonding Cyprus: The Island Quest ξεκινά από τα βουνά — ένα κυκλικό μονοπάτι 8 χλμ μέσα στο Εθνικό Δάσος Τροόδους, που ακολουθεί τον ποταμό διαμέσου πλούσιας βλάστησης και φτάνει στο Πάρκο Αμιάντου. Κατά τη διαδρομή, θα περάσετε από αποκατεστημένο καταφύγιο αγωνιστών της ΕΟΚΑ και το ρέμα Λουμάτα των Αετών, περιτριγυρισμένοι από αυτόχθονη κυπριακή χλωρίδα και πανίδα.

Η εκδήλωση πραγματοποιείται την 🗓️ Κυριακή, 11 Οκτωβρίου 2026, με εκκίνηση στις 09:30. Το σημείο συνάντησης είναι το Δημοτικό Πάρκο Χατζηκτώρη (Αμίαντος). Μετά την πεζοπορία ακολουθεί BBQ και κοινωνική σύνδεση στην ομάδα.

Η εγγραφή ολοκληρώνεται στις 8/10 στις 16:00 ή νωρίτερα αν συμπληρωθούν οι 30 θέσεις. Η συμμετοχή επιβεβαιώνεται μόνο μετά την πληρωμή. Τελευταίας στιγμής συμμετέχοντες δεν γίνονται δεκτοί.

The Call of the Mountains is the first chapter of Vagabonding Cyprus: The Island Quest — an outdoor hiking series in Cyprus covering 8 trails and around 100 km across the island between October and December 2026. This circular 8 km trail winds through the hillsides of Troodos National Forest Park, following the river through lush vegetation before reaching Amiantos Park, passing a restored EOKA fighters' hideout and the Loumata ton Aeton stream along the way.

The hike takes place on Sunday, 11 October 2026, starting at 09:30. The meeting point is Hadjiktori Municipal Park (Amiantos). A BBQ and connection session follows the hike at a nearby location.

🎟️ Ticket prices start from €15.

Registration closes on 8 October at 16:00, or earlier once all 30 spots are filled. Participation is confirmed only after payment. Last-minute joiners will not be accepted.

Q: Is this trail suitable for beginners? A: The trail is rated Moderate (Aphrodite) and requires an intermediate fitness level. Fitness levels are subjective — if you're uncertain whether this suits you, reach out to the organisers directly for clarification.

Q: Can I join just one chapter of the Island Quest? A: Absolutely. You can join one chapter or take on the full Quest across all 8 trails. Each completed trail earns you a stamp on your journey.
