SIMOU AGROFEST is a Culture event at Simou Village Square (Panagia Chryseleousa Square) on Saturday, 12 September 2026 at 11:00. Admission is free.
Simou AgroFest is a celebration of Cyprus’ rural heritage, dedicated to local agricultural products, traditional gastronomy, culture and the rich traditions of the village of Simou.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover a wide variety of locally produced goods through farmers’ stalls, taste authentic traditional delicacies and enjoy a selection of local food and drinks throughout the day.
The festival will feature live traditional music by Stefanos Pelekanis and his band, performances of traditional Cypriot dances, and live radio broadcasting by Zenith FM .
The programme also includes an exhibition of traditional farming tools and farm animals, a photographic exhibition showcasing the history of Simou village, and guided village tours.
Families can enjoy train rides and horse riding, while visitors will have the chance to watch live demonstrations of traditional crafts, including basket weaving, rope-tying techniques, komboloi (worry beads) making, reed flute (pithkiavli) crafting and traditional weaving.
A special attraction will be the live preparation of the traditional Cypriot sweet Kattimerka by Chrysso Lefou, offering visitors an authentic taste of Cyprus.
Simou AgroFest aims to promote the agricultural wealth, hospitality and cultural heritage of rural Cyprus, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
