A cone-roofed Neolithic settlement near Kalavasos, inhabited from around 8000 BC.

About Tenta
Tenta is a Neolithic settlement on a hilltop in Kalavasos's Vasilikos valley, first occupied around 8000 BC, roughly a thousand years before nearby Choirokoitia. Excavations from 1947 to 1984 uncovered some 40 round stone-and-mudbrick houses, home to no more than about 150 people, along with burials, tools, and a rare wall painting of two human figures with raised hands. A distinctive cone-shaped shelter, built in the 1990s, now protects the site and shelters visitors from the sun.
