About Rigena Tower Ruins
The Tower of Rigena stands in ruins at Moutti tis Sotiras on the Akamas peninsula, near the Smigies nature area and the Baths of Aphrodite. Local legend ties the site to a romance between the hero Akamas and a queen who lived in the tower. A roughly 500-year-old oak tree still grows among the ruins.
