About Baths of Aphrodite
On the Akamas Peninsula near Latchi, a natural grotto shelters a spring-fed pool beneath the shade of an old fig tree, roughly 45 minutes from Paphos. In Greek myth this is where Aphrodite bathed and where she is said to have met Adonis; swimming is no longer allowed, so the appeal now is the setting and the story rather than a dip. It sits along the trailhead for the Aphrodite and Adonis nature trails into the peninsula's national park.
