Traditional and alternative Sotira kolokasi recipes at the Sotira Pancyprian Kolokasi Festival
The Sotira Municipal Quarter of the Municipality of Agia Napa announces the organisation of the 46th Pancyprian Kolokasi Festival, which will take place on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at the Sotira Municipal Stadium.
The renewed festival returns after a two-year absence and is once again expected to attract thousands of local and international visitors. The aim of the festival is to highlight and promote Sotira’s traditional product, which since 2016 has been officially registered among the country’s products with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover and enjoy, through free tastings, traditional, alternative and innovative recipes based on kolokasi. The recipes will be specially created and presented for the festival by professional chefs, cooks, food bloggers and pastry chefs.
Free interactive workshops, games and activities for children will also take place at the festival venue. At the same time, stalls operated by organised groups from Sotira will offer food, drinks, sweets and other delicacies for sale.
The 46th Sotira Pancyprian Kolokasi Festival will culminate in a rich entertainment programme featuring the acclaimed and highly popular Greek singer Nikos Makropoulos.
Admission is set at the symbolic price of €5 and includes free tastings. Admission is free for persons with disabilities and children under the age of 12.
The festival is held under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
