About Tala Monastery Cat Park
Tala Monastery Cat Park is a non-profit sanctuary near Agios Neophytos Monastery, in the village of Tala between Paphos and Coral Bay. It grew out of a small colony of around 45 cats fed by volunteers at the monastery, founded in the 12th century by Saint Neophytos; the colony has since grown to several hundred cats. The park runs on donations and volunteer labour, and visitors can feed and interact with the cats. The monastery itself is known for its carved cells and frescoes.
