The Museum of Byzantine Heritage in Palaichori, a mountain village in the Nicosia district, occupies a restored historic building. It displays ecclesiastical art gathered from the village's churches and chapels, mostly icon painting, woodcarving, silverwork and weaving from the post-Byzantine period, alongside items from the earlier Frankish era. A multimedia info-kiosk in the museum provides background on the area in four languages.
