About Akapnou ancient Venetian bridge
The Akapnou bridge stands northwest of Akapnou village in the Limassol district, about 300 metres from the centre, over one of the Vasilikos river's branches. Built during the Venetian period, it is unusual for having two arches, one pointed and one semi-circular, rather than the single arch typical of Cyprus's Venetian bridges. It was reportedly used by Crusader forces travelling between Larnaca and Pitsilia.
