About
This is the courtyard of the church of Agios Georgios in Pegeia, a hill town above the coast northwest of Paphos near Coral Bay. Church courtyards across Cyprus double as the natural gathering ground for village fairs and festivals, and this one takes its turn hosting Pegeia's Carob Festival, a community celebration of the local carob harvest with food, produce stalls and traditional music and dance.
