Songs from Troodos and other forests is a Music event at Rialto Theatre, Limassol on Friday, 27 November 2026 at 21:00. Tickets from €8.
Androula performs a cycle of songs developed over the past year through encounters with more-than-human worlds and beings, particularly the mountains and forests of Troodos. Voice, electronics, and the body perform successive acts of mourning, desire, prayer, and protest, reckoning with the violences of our ecological and political present. Within a landscape created in collaboration with artist Elena Savvidou, trees, birds, and the elements become songs and offerings, reaching towards wonder to exorcise despair.
Androula Kafa is a musician and sound artist working across choral, contemporary classical, ambient, and experimental electronic music. She is interested in ecology, spirituality, and their intersection. Her current practices centre intimate and sensuous engagement with the more-than-human, from which emerges music pursuing enchantment and collective catharsis.
