Koilani, one of the best-known wine villages in the Limassol District, celebrates its winemaking heritage and the end of the grape harvest with the traditional Afamia Festival.
The annual festival, whose roots date back to ancient times, is dedicated to grapes, wine, Zivania and palouzes. Visitors can stroll through the picturesque streets of Koilani, taste wines from local wineries, watch a traditional Zivania distillation demonstration and sample grape-based delicacies, including freshly prepared palouzes.
The programme also features traditional music and songs, as well as local crafts, offering visitors an opportunity to discover the village’s wine traditions and cultural heritage.
