About
The Troodos Observatory sits at around 1,250 metres near Agridia, between the villages of Agros and Kyperounta, under some of the darkest skies in Cyprus. Opened to the public in 2025, its mirrored dome, styled after a spaceship, houses the largest telescope on the island. With more than 200 clear nights a year and low light pollution, it runs guided evening stargazing tours, lending visitors binoculars and star maps, among them special nights for the summer Perseid meteor shower.
