About
This is the community football stadium of Sotira, a large village in the free part of the Famagusta district near Ayia Napa and Paralimni. It is the village's sports ground, and like many such grounds around Cyprus its open field and stands also take on community events that need the space. Among them is the Kolokasi Festival, a celebration of the taro root the area is known for, with local food, music and stalls.
