About
Plateia Pallouriotissas is the neighbourhood square in Pallouriotissa, an older residential district on the eastern side of Nicosia. Like squares across the city, it comes to life each summer as one of the stages for the municipality's Summer Nights (Nychtes Kalokairiou), a free programme that runs from June into September and moves music, theatre and other events out into the neighbourhoods rather than the centre. The rest of the year it is simply the local square. When it appears here, it is almost always for one of those free open-air municipal evenings.
