About
The Nicosia Municipal Theatre is the capital's main civic stage, on Mouseiou Street beside the old town. First opened in 1967, it seats around a thousand and is the largest theatre in Cyprus, with an orchestra pit that lets it take both drama and music. It anchors the city's cultural programme, hosting the Nicosia International Festival each autumn along with Cyprus Theatre Organisation productions, symphony concerts and touring theatre and comedy.
