About
The Lakatamia Municipal Amphitheatre is the open-air stage of Lakatamia, on the southern side of Nicosia. Inaugurated in 1994 as the new municipality's first major project, it seats around two thousand and serves as the district's cultural centre through the summer, staging theatre, concerts, musical evenings and film screenings that draw thousands of residents. A municipal art gallery has operated beneath the tiers since 1996. It hosts events such as charity music nights across the season.
