About
Kratiki Ekthesi, the State Fair grounds, is Nicosia's main exhibition and trade-fair site, out in the Makedonitissa area of Engomi. Run by the Cyprus State Fairs Authority since the late 1960s, it covers a large campus of indoor halls and open outdoor grounds, built originally to host the annual Cyprus International Fair. Today it takes on the events that need that kind of space: trade and consumer exhibitions, the wedding fair, Cyprus Comic Con, and one-off large shows from concerts to touring pro-wrestling nights. It is a working fairground rather than a themed venue, so what is on depends entirely on the calendar.
