About
Governor's Beach is a stretch of coast near Pentakomo, about ten kilometres east of Limassol's hotel strip, known for its dark sand and the striking white chalk cliffs that drop to the sea. It is really a set of small coves, Governor's and neighbouring Kalymnos, the latter named for the Greek sponge divers who once worked here, and it carries Blue Flag status. Beyond swimming, its beach and tavernas host summer events, from sea-kayak nights to open-air beach parties.
