About
Finikoudes is Larnaca's central seafront, a 600-metre beach backed by the palm-lined promenade that gives it its name, from the Cypriot word for the palms first planted here in 1922. Lined with cafes and restaurants along Athinon Avenue, it is the city's main social gathering space, busy from morning coffee to evening. Its open front also serves as an events stage and a start-and-finish point for city occasions, among them the Larnaka International Marathon.
