About
Eleftheria Square is Nicosia's main civic plaza, redesigned by Zaha Hadid Architects and opened over the Venetian moat at the edge of the walled old town. Its sculptural concrete bridge and column-seats span the moat and link the old and new city, and the square was built from the start to hold festivals and public events. The listing here is the United Street Festival, two days of music, art and urban culture staged on the square.
