Sustainable Mobility Festival

Limassol Marina proudly hosts Limassol’s celebrations for the European Mobility Week, by hosting the Limassol Tourism Board’s event in its premises this September.

The Limassol Tourism Board organizes for the fifth year on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 of September 2024, from 18:00 to 22:00, at the Limassol Marina Square, the Sustainable Mobility Festival. The festival features bicycle exhibition, the opportunity to ride an electric bike, electric vehicles and EV chargers, electric public transport, car sharing, educational and fun games, experiential activities and many surprises.

The event is aiming to encourage the public to adopt practices that will contribute to creating a more sustainable future for everyone. Participating organizations will promote the use of public transport, bicycles and electric vehicles as means of transportation to reduce emissions, encourage environmental protection and improve quality of life.

This year's European Mobility Week 2024 themed 'Shared Public Space’ is a community effort to inform and raise awareness among citizens about reducing public space occupied by cars and increasing its use by citizens to cycle, walk, skate and enjoy outdoor spaces. The Limassol Tourism Board implements numerous actions in this field, as part of an ambitious program to raise awareness and inform the public about climate change and sustainable transportation practices. The event is supported by the Deputy Ministry of tourism and is under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr. Maria Panayiotou.
