09:15 – Departure from Kato Pafos Departure from the Archaeological Park bus stop. Enjoy a scenic drive along the coastal road via Pegeia and into the Akamas region, with panoramic views of the coastline, countryside and forest landscapes.
10:00 – Akamas Geology and Paleontology Information Centre, Pano Arodes Arrival at the Akamas Geology and Paleontology Information Centre. Enjoy a guided introduction to the fascinating geological history of Akamas and Cyprus. Discover local rocks, fossils, unique geological formations and the natural processes that shaped the region over millions of years.
Duration: ~ 45 minutes
11:00 – Innia-Lara Turtle Museum & Basketry Museum, Innia Visit the Innia-Lara Turtle Museum, the first specialised museum in Cyprus dedicated to sea turtles. Discover the fascinating world of sea turtles through interactive exhibits, visual displays and educational material, while learning about their life cycle, nesting habitats, the importance of Lara Bay and ongoing conservation efforts in the Akamas region. The visit also includes the Basketry Museum of Innia, showcasing one of the area’s most distinctive traditional crafts. Discover the materials, tools and techniques used by local craftspeople to create traditional baskets and woven objects, and learn how basketry has been closely connected with rural life and everyday activities for generations.

12:00 – Akamas Rural Life and Traditions – Crafts Training Centre, Droushia Arrival at the centre. A wonderful opportunity to explore the museum and discover the traditional rural way of life of the Akamas–Laona region. Visitors can also experience local culture in action through demonstrations, workshops and live presentations of traditional arts and crafts.

13:10 – Marion & Arsinoe Archaeological Museum, Polis Chrysochous Visit the Marion & Arsinoe Archaeological Museum, featuring important archaeological finds from the ancient city-kingdoms of Marion and Arsinoe. The museum offers visitors a fascinating journey through the history of the area, with artefacts illustrating its development and significance from antiquity through the Hellenistic and Roman periods.

14:10 – Akamas Avifauna and Flora Visitor Centre, Kathikas Visit the Akamas Avifauna and Flora Visitor Centre, dedicated to the rich biodiversity and natural heritage of the Akamas Peninsula. Discover the area’s birdlife, endemic flora and unique habitats through informative displays, while learning about the ecological importance and conservation of this remarkable natural environment.

Free Time in Kathikas Village Enjoy an optional lunch at a traditional tavern or café (not included), stroll through the village streets and experience the authentic atmosphere of one of the best-known traditional communities of the Akamas–Laona area. Take the opportunity to discover local flavours, traditional architecture and the relaxed character of rural Pafos.

15:30 – Departure for Pafos Depart from Kathikas and return to Pafos.
16:15 – Arrival in Pafos Return to the Archaeological Park.
Wear comfortable shoes and bring the camera.
