About this event
The Day of the Mediterranean is approaching, and we are honoured to announce our participation in this meaningful day. On November 28th at the steps of Faneromeni School, we will join voices across the Mediterranean in a free musical performance. This event, supported by the Anna Lindh Foundation, brings together Sounds that Meet in the Med, showcasing how cultures come together through music to create a better understanding of one another.
The Convocanti Vocal Ensemble is a Cyprus-based vocal group formed shortly after Christmas 2012, and its first appearance was at a jazz evening organised by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation. Since then, it has expanded its repertoire to include a cappella arrangements of popular songs. Members come and members go, however, and its current lineup comprises, from left to right, Andreas Iacovides, Anna Tellalis, Christina Pallikaropoulou and Konstantinos Papathomas.
