Apple Festival 2026 @ Kyperounta Central Square

Kyperounta, one of Cyprus’ most important apple-growing villages, celebrates its annual Apple Festival, highlighting the village’s rich agricultural tradition and local apple production. The village produces around one third of Cyprus’ apples and pears and is home to the indigenous apple varieties “Kathista” and “Lortika”. The festival includes presentations of apple varieties grown in Cyprus, an apple-themed photo exhibition, a display of traditional farming tools and a tasting competition featuring apples as the main ingredient. Visitors can meet local producers and discover a wide range of apple-based products, including apple syrup, vinegar, chips, cookies and apple-flavoured spirits, alongside other traditional products. Fresh palouzes will also be prepared on site. During the festival, local churches and museums will remain open to visitors.
