About Kyra Church
Panagia Kyra is a small chapel just outside Louvaras in the Limassol district hills, on the road toward Kakomallis forest. Local tradition dates its founding to the 9th century, though the exact year is unrecorded. Built in Byzantine style from local stone under a sloped wooden roof, it belongs to the parish of Timios Prodromos, Louvaras, and its courtyard is shaded by a centuries-old plane tree.
