Προβολή Ντοκιμαντέρ BBC Master Photographers: Ansel Adams

Στο πλαίσιο των εκδηλώσεων «Πέμπτες στη Φωτοδό», που στηρίζει το Τμήμα Σύγχρονου Πολιτισμού του Υφυπουργείου Πολιτισμού, η Φωτοδός παρουσιάζει σε συνεργασία με το BBC το ντοκιμαντέρ «Ansel Adams» από τη σειρά Master Photographers (1983).

Το επεισόδιο, διάρκειας 34 λεπτών, είναι παραγωγή του BBC σε συνεργασία με τις Chanowski Productions και Andreas Landshoff Productions, με παραγωγό τον Peter Adam. Ο Ansel Adams (1902–1984) υπήρξε ο πιο διακεκριμένος τοπιογράφος φωτογράφος της Αμερικής και θεωρείται ένας από τους κορυφαίους εκτυπωτές φωτογραφιών παγκοσμίως. Στο ντοκιμαντέρ, ο Adams παρουσιάζει επιλεγμένα έργα του, συζητά τεχνικές εκτύπωσης και καταγράφεται ενώ φωτογραφίζει το επιβλητικό τοπίο της Καλιφόρνιας που ενέπνευσε μεγάλο μέρος του έργου του.

Screening of BBC Documentary Master Photographers: Ansel Adams

As part of the “Thursdays at Fotodos” events, supported by the Department of Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, Fotodos presents, in collaboration with the BBC, the documentary “Ansel Adams” from the Master Photographers series (1983).

The 34-minute episode is a BBC TV production in association with Chanowski Productions and Andreas Landshoff Productions, produced by Peter Adam. Ansel Adams (1902–1984) was America’s most distinguished landscape photographer and is regarded as one of the world’s greatest printers of photographs. In the documentary, Adams shows a selection of his own works, discusses some of his printing techniques, and is seen taking photographs of the rugged grandeur of the Californian landscape that inspired so much of his work.
