Το πολυβραβευμένο μυθιστόρημα της Λουίζας Παπαλοΐζου μεταφέρεται στη θεατρική σκηνή σε διασκευή και σκηνοθεσία της Μαρίας Κυριάκου. Η παράσταση ξεδιπλώνει την ιστορία τριών προσώπων μέσα από μια αφήγηση που ξεκινά από τις αρχές του περασμένου αιώνα, φωτίζοντας το ασφυκτικό περιβάλλον της ορεινής Κύπρου.

Η σύγχρονη δραματουργία και η δωδεκαμελή ομάδα ταλαντούχων ηθοποιών μεταφέρει στη σκηνή τη γλώσσα, την ατμόσφαιρα και τη συγκινησιακή δύναμη ενός βιβλίου που τιμήθηκε το 2021 με το Κρατικό Βραβείο Μυθιστορήματος στην Κύπρο και στην Ελλάδα.

Experience the critically acclaimed theatrical adaptation of Louiza Papaloizou's award-winning novel 'To Vouni' in Nicosia and Limassol, Cyprus. Directed and adapted by Maria Kyriakou, this contemporary drama brings to life the story of three characters through a narrative spanning from the early 20th century.

Set against the backdrop of a mountain in a remote area of Cyprus, the play unfolds the world of Xeni, Kori and the Swede within a poetic setting where memory, loss and the search for identity intersect. The production explores both the suffocating environment of mountainous Cyprus and the Swedish archaeological excavations in the Soli region during British rule.

With modern dramaturgy and a twelve-member cast of talented actors, the performance transfers the language, atmosphere and emotional power of a book that was honored in 2021 with the State Prize for Novel in both Cyprus and Greece.
