About
This is the lower level, the kato diazoma, of Plateia Eleftherias, Eleftheria Square, the landmark civic space that links the old walled city to the modern centre of Nicosia. Redesigned by Zaha Hadid's practice, its sweeping open decks sit over the moat below the Venetian walls. The square doubles as an events ground: it is one of the stages for Nychtes Kalokairiou, the municipality's free Summer Nights of music and performance.
