About
The Old Port of Limassol is the city's original harbour, built in the 1950s and left behind when the new port opened in 1973, then regenerated and reopened to the public around 2014 to 2016 as a waterfront leisure space. Its squares, promenades, restaurants and shops turned a neglected stretch of coast into one of the city's liveliest public areas, and the open quaysides double as an events ground, hosting occasions such as a beach water polo tournament.
